May There is a bird view now if a 3D map is available, big cities mostly , with the possibility to rotate and pan the map : see also this thread from ikar. When there is a bird view Map available you can find at the right bottom above the zoom bar 4 "points" in perspective.

By the way, if you geotag photos with Picasa and later upload them to Panoramio they are located automatically in the right place. Users can create, find, save and share their routes and then see what sights are in the area using photos from Flickr.

I know it's late in the piece but when i visit the link given below I can't see any way to utilise this even with the dumbed down version of panoramio. Question now IS Matthew is it just me or does the exe file not run for this anymore? Besides, you'll only get a "picture" of your Panoramio homepage at this date : if you click on your photos, you'll be back to the present day Panoramio ruins Too bad.

This program doesn't want to start after downloading.
