Graphic Organizers , Printables. Bringing books into your speech therapy sessions is a perfect way to work with mixed groups. Students are often engaged during a read aloud and the text allows for all the language needed to target every individualized goal. Staple the carrot together around the edges leaving the top open. Tape any stapled areas that are sharp to protect tiny fingers.
When dry, stuff the carrot from the top with any of the stuffing materials. Staple this area shut. An adult can curl lengths of green curling ribbon by running the ribbon against the sharp side of a pair of scissors. These crafts offer children a tangible learning experience and products to decorate the classroom or take home to share with families. Next, tape the beginning of your orange yarn to the back of your carrot.
Now, wrap the carrot with the orange yarn. Add a bit of glue here and there to help it keep its place. Glue the final piece down.
Cut some small green yarn pieces. We varied ours in size from 3 inches to 6 inches. Loop the green yarn and glue to the top of the carrot. Alternatively, you can tape the loops to the back. We did a little of both to achieve the look we wanted for the carrot tops. These carrots could be displayed as part of an Easter themed bulletin board with bunnies.
